Heavener was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-2 to the Pocola Indians. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Heavener's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Pocola, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Heavener will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McCurtain at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Pocola, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Talihina on the 2nd.
