Softball Recap: Westosha Central Has No Trouble Against Union Grove

Westosha Central's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Union Grove Broncos 12-5. That looming 12-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.

Megan Lampos made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Smith, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Mykenna Sturino was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Westosha Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
