Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Park Lancers vs. Glenbard West Hilltoppers

Lake Park is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Glenbard West is on an eight-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Lancers will welcome the Hilltoppers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Lake Park beat St. Charles East 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Fighting Saints: they've now won seven in a row.

While Lake Park might've won, it sure wasn't easy: St. Charles East scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Glenbard West was able to grind out a solid victory over Lincoln-Way West on Wednesday, taking the game 2-0.

Glenbard West easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21.

Glenbard West's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Lake Park, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
