Softball Recap: Westerly Bulldogs vs. South Kingstown Rebels
Westerly put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 18-5 margin over the South Kingstown Rebels. The high-scoring effort was just what Westerly needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
Emma Caracciolo was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Tori Gabriele, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Westerly pushed their record up to 13-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Kingstown, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Westerly will head out on the road to challenge Cranston West at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Kingstown, they will be playing at home against Narragansett at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
