Volleyball Recap: Swain County Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Swain County had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Albemarle Bulldogs 3-0.

Kennedy Anthony paced Swain County's offense, picking up ten kills. Anthony got some help from Ryan Ellis and her 21 assists. Ellis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Swain County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Albemarle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Swain County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hayesville on the 21st. Albemarle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
