Cody is a perfect 10-0 against Riverton since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Broncs are taking a road trip to square off against the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Cody is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
On Tuesday, Cody got the win against Worland by a conclusive 3-0.
Cody's got stronger as the match went on, holding Worland to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Riverton came up short against Rock Springs on Thursday and fell 3-1. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the TIGERS 25-14 in the first set.
Riverton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.
Cody will have to keep a close watch on Tailyn Shaffer and Lawson Yeates, a pair of players who had a big impact on Riverton's prior game. Shaffer had seven digs and five assists, while Yeates had 14 digs, nine kills, and two aces. Yeates is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Cody's win bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Riverton, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-16.
Cody took their victory against Riverton when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
