Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Soper). They came out on top against the Garner Longhorns by a score of 58-48 on Thursday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 136th in Oklahoma, while the Longhorns are ranked 1073rd in Texas) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Soper's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Garner, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Soper and Fort Towson will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garner, they will head out on the road to square off against Gold-Burg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
