Grand Haven and East Kentwood are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Grand Haven Buccaneers are taking a road trip to challenge the East Kentwood Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grand Haven will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Grand Haven earned a 62-50 victory over Jenison. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Wildcats are ranked 335th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, East Kentwood strolled past Center Line with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 70-54.

Grand Haven pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for East Kentwood, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Grand Haven was able to grind out a solid win over East Kentwood when the teams last played back in January, winning 56-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand Haven since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
