Julius Proffitt Has Career-Day on Friday

Starting off the list is Cisco's Julius Proffitt, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Proffitt rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Keagan Ables Dazzles in Hawley Defeat

While Keagan Ables delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Hawley. Ables was dynamite, throwing for 444 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 34 yards.

On the season, Ables has thrown 36 touchdowns (and and only 7 pick) while averaging 289.4 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 22.75 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 55.08 rushing yards.

Hawley Gets a Boost from Ables in 49-40 Defeat

Keeping Ables company is Camden Ables, a fellow Hawley player. He picked up 221 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 50 yards.

On the year, Ables has caught 14 touchdowns while averaging 118.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after 12 games last season, he had five receiving touchdowns.

Christian Duran and Co. Win 12th in a Row

Christian Duran was instrumental in extending Stamford's winning streak to 12 on Thursday. Duran turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 33 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 151 yards on only 14 passes.

Duran will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Cisco on Friday. The Bulldogs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Loboes, probably because Duran had a solid game then too: he rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 141 yards on nine of 14 attempts. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
