Zapata suffers ninth straight loss on the road

Recap: Zapata Hawks vs. Jubilee Brownsville Titans
This season hasn't been kind to the Zapata Hawks, who are still winless after their 13th contest. They fell just short of Jubilee Brownsville by a score of 57-54. Zapata was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jubilee Brownsville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Nick Zarate, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds for Jubilee Brownsville. The match was Zarate's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deron Holland`, who scored ten points.
Zapata bumped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jubilee Brownsville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
Zapata will head out on the road to face off against Raymondville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jubilee Brownsville, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on La Feria at 8:00 p.m. on January 5th.
