Volleyball Recap: Edgemont Starts off Right with Win over Philip

Edgemont gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Philip Scotties as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For the Moguls, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Scotties walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2020.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Edgemont took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-12.

Raelee Provorse paced Edgemont's offense, picking up 11 kills. Provorse got some help from Sydney Jarding and her 11 assists. Provorse also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Allie Brunson, racking up three apiece.

Edgemont will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Little Wound at 6:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Philip, they will take on Custer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
