Softball Recap: Parker Comes Up Short

Parker lost against Flandreau back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pheasants fell just short of the Fliers by a score of 9-8.

Parker has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Flandreau, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Parker wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-1 defeat against Beresford on the 24th. As for Flandreau, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-8 victory against Howard on the 24th.
