Monroe Central is 10-0 against Shenandoah since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Monroe Central Seminoles will look to defend their home court against the Shenandoah Zeps at 6:00 p.m.

Monroe Central lost 54-34 to Martins Ferry on Saturday. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Shenandoah blew past Shadyside, posting a 62-29 win. Given the Zeps' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Tigers are ranked 694th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shenandoah's win came from a few key players Monroe Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Emily Moore, who posted 13 points along with eight steals and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenna Leach, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

Shenandoah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Shenandoah's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Monroe Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Monroe Central was able to grind out a solid win over Shenandoah in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 47-35. Does Monroe Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Shenandoah turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
