Basketball Recap: Achievement First Providence Sets Scoring Season-High Against Prout

Achievement First Providence scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 82-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prout Crusaders.

Achievement First Providence lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Fred Browne, who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave Browne a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Stephen Adedire, who earned 16 points.

It was another big night for Charlie Horne, who went 13 for 21 on his way to 33 points for Prout. With that strong performance, Horne is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawson O'Hearn, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Achievement First Providence's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Prout, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Blackstone Valley Prep the next time they take the court. Achievement First Providence will head out to face Blackstone Valley Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Prout will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
