Winslow is 9-1 against Holbrook since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Winslow will welcome Holbrook at 3:30 p.m. Winslow is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Winslow didn't have quite enough to beat Alchesay and fell 2-1.

Winslow saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ehren Leonard, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Holbrook fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Snowflake on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 7-6.

Matthias Montijo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Niko Espitia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Winslow's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Holbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Winslow was able to grind out a solid victory over Holbrook in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 5-2. Will Winslow repeat their success, or does Holbrook has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
