Basketball Recap: Mount Si Comes Up Short

Mount Si suffered their closest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of the Shadow Hills Knights by a score of 49-46. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 67-54 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mount Si has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Shadow Hills, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Mount Si and Shadow Hills should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Mount Si (ranked 150th) will meet Escondido Charter (ranked 339th) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Shadow Hills will challenge Corona del Mar at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday up 136 places (126 vs. 262).
