Basketball Recap: White Academy Comes Up Short

White Academy lost against Clayton-Bradley Academy back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The White Academy Knights were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to the Clayton-Bradley Academy Blazers. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, White Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Macy England posted 15 points and seven boards. Those 15 points gave England a new career-high. Adriawna Hudson was another key player, putting up five points.

Clayton-Bradley Academy was led to victory by Mia Adkins and Emma Bault. Adkins dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Bault dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Adkins has scored at least a third of Clayton-Bradley Academy's points.

White Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Clayton-Bradley Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.

White Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clayton-Bradley Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 90-25 loss against King's Academy on the 11th.
