Basketball Recap: Ridgemont Piles Up the Points Against West Jefferson

Ridgemont came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the West Jefferson Roughriders 68-37. The Golden Gophers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 29 points or more this season.

West Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Austin Buescher, who posted 12 points and seven blocks. Buescher is crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Colton Kincade was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Ridgemont pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for West Jefferson, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgemont will venture away from home to take on Mohawk at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Jefferson, they will take on Greenon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
