Clay County took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Scott 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since September 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, McCreary Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 34-7 defeat at the hands of Knox Central. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

McCreary Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Clay County, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Clay County beat McCreary Central 25-16 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
