Preview: Starmount Rams vs. Forbush Falcons
After three games on the road, Starmount is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Forbush Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Starmount will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while Forbush is ranked 100th).
Last Tuesday, Starmount had to suffer through a rough 72-44 loss at the hands of Ashe County.
Despite the loss, Starmount had strong showings from Abby Moxley, who scored ten points, and Mackinzie Cox, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Meanwhile, Forbush put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ledford 69-12 on the road. Fans of Forbush have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Starmount's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Forbush, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
