Recap: Monarch Knights vs. West Broward Bobcats

The Monarch Knights waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over West Broward. With that victory, Monarch brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Monarch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cody Dinnall out in front who scored 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Dinnall also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samari Reed, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Monarch's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for West Broward, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monarch will take on Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northeast presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Monarch in Florida (Northeast is ranked 65th, while Monarch is ranked 403rd). As for West Broward, they will be playing at home against Flanagan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Flanagan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
