Volleyball Recap: Belvidere North Blue Thunder vs. Hononegah Indians

Belvidere North extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-21 in the process. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hononegah Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in April.

As for Hononegah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hononegah to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Freedlund, who had ten kills and two aces. That's the most aces Freedlund has posted since back in April. Owen Rollinson was another key player, getting 18 assists and three digs.

Belvidere North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hononegah, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Elgin on the 27th.
