Basketball Game Preview: Orlando Science Orcas vs. Geneva Knights

The Orlando Science Orcas just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Geneva Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Orlando Science will head into Wednesday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They came up short against Crooms Academy, falling 72-46. The Orcas haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Geneva ended up a good deal behind Foundation Academy on Tuesday and lost 68-51. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Lions are ranked 173rd).

Orlando Science's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Geneva, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

Orlando Science came up short against Geneva when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 53-40. Can Orlando Science avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
