Preview: Badger Braves vs. Windham Bombers
Badger is 8-2 against Windham since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Badger Braves will look to defend their home court against the Windham Bombers at 10:00 a.m. Badger will be looking to keep their 16-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Badger suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. Their rough 72-47 defeat to Rootstown might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Badger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Rootstown is ranked 66th).
Badger's loss came about despite a quality game from Gabriella Miller, who scored 13 points. Anja Suhar was another key contributor, scoring three points.
Meanwhile, Windham was able to grind out a solid victory over St. John on Monday, taking the game 53-40. The victory was just what Windham needed coming off of a 59-26 defeat in their prior match.
Badger's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2. As for Windham, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Everything came up roses for Badger against Windham when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 61-28 victory. Does Badger have another victory up their sleeve, or will Windham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
