Softball Recap: Daleville Broncos vs. Cowan Blackhawks
Daleville lost to Cowan back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Daleville Broncos came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cowan Blackhawks and snuck past 7-6.
Ashlyn McMillion was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Daleville's victory bumped their record up to 11-8-1. As for Cowan, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20.
Daleville will stay at home for another game and welcome Shenandoah at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Shenandoah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. As for Cowan, they will take on Tri-Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cowan is facing Tri-Central at the right time seeing as Tri-Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
