Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Mustangs vs. Pleasant Valley Spartans
It was a good run, but Mt. Vernon unfortunately witnessed the end of their 15-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Pleasant Valley Spartans. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Mt. Vernon's loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-3. As for Pleasant Valley, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.
