Basketball Game Preview: Bowie Volunteers vs. South Grand Prairie Warriors

Bowie is 1-9 against South Grand Prairie since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bowie Volunteers will host the South Grand Prairie Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bowie is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Lamar by a score of 90-83 on Friday. The Volunteers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for South Grand Prairie against Haltom on Friday as the squad secured a 74-40 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

South Grand Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.6 points. As for Bowie, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.

Things could have been worse for Bowie, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-47 loss to South Grand Prairie when the teams last played back in January.
