Baseball Game Preview: Paoli Rams vs. Crawford County Wolfpack

The Paoli Rams will take on the Crawford County Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paoli will be strutting in after a win while Crawford County will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Paoli made easy work of Eastern Greene and carried off a 9-2 victory.

Cooper Spires was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Kirkland Hughes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Raleigh Klunk, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Meanwhile, Crawford County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 6-2 to South Central.

Paoli's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Crawford County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Paoli beat Crawford County 8-4 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Wolfpack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
