Baseball Recap: Elkhorn North Comes Up Short

Elkhorn North was the 3-0 winner over Lincoln Northwest when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Elkhorn North's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Lincoln Northwest, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Elkhorn North will host Grand Island at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Islanders have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Lincoln Northwest, they will take on Blair at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
