Pelham has gone 9-1 against John Carroll Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will challenge the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. Pelham has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 30.

On Tuesday, Pelham came up short against Homewood and fell 7-2.

RE.Ese Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Taylor Howard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, John Carroll Catholic got the win against Briarwood Christian on Monday by a conclusive 12-6. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

John Carroll Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Pelham, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Pelham got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against John Carroll Catholic by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
