Softball Recap: Aquinas Institute Comes Up Short on the Road Against Greece Odyssey

Aquinas Institute had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greece Odyssey Leopards on Monday.

Kendall Buttles was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Buttles was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Addison Whipple was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Greece Odyssey has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aquinas Institute will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Northstar Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greece Odyssey, they will host School of the Arts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
