Basketball Recap: Providence Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Providence Academy was riding high fresh off their 70-38 takedown of Thaden last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Providence Academy Patriots took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elkins Elks on Friday.

Providence Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. As for Elkins, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Academy will head out to challenge West Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkins has already played their next game (against Thaden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
