Soccer Game Preview: Preston vs. Pocatello

Preston hasn't had much luck against Pocatello recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Thunder at 5:00 p.m. Preston's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Preston needed a bit of extra time to put away Century. They had just enough and edged out the Diamondbacks 2-1. The game was the first time Preston have beaten Century on their pitch since October 3, 2024.

Tayli Udy and Hannah Cole scored both of Preston's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Pocatello made sure to put some goals up on the board against Century on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Diamondbacks. Pocatello haven't had any issues with Century recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Preston's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3-2 and their overall record up to 3-9-6. As for Pocatello, their record now sits at 7-10.

Preston couldn't quite get it done against Pocatello in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
