Basketball Recap: Baldwin Panthers vs. Bear Lake Lakers
After flying high against Holton last Tuesday, Baldwin came back down to earth. The Baldwin Panthers fell just short of the Bear Lake Lakers by a score of 44-42 on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lakers earlier this season, when they won 56-54.
Leading Bear Lake to victory were Myles Harless and Grady Harless. Myles dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 boards, while Grady posted 21 points and eight rebounds. Grady's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Hallead, who put up four points.
Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Bear Lake, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.
Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bear Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-16 victory against Crossroads Charter Academy on the 21st.
