Baseball Game Preview: Ravenscroft Ravens vs. Providence Day Chargers

Ravenscroft is 0-5 against Providence Day since March of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Ravenscroft Ravens will host the Providence Day Chargers at 5:00 p.m. Neither Ravenscroft nor Providence Day posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

After dropping their season opener at home, Providence Day is headed out to face a Ravens team ready to give their home crowd a win. Ravenscroft took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norfolk Academy on Saturday.

Ravenscroft saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amos Welborn, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Providence Day suffered their closest defeat since April 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Metrolina Christian Academy by a score of 3-1. The loss was the Chargers' first of the season.
