Baseball Recap: Cooter Takes a Loss

Cooter fell victim to Neelyville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Tigers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Cooter's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Neelyville, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cooter will venture away from home to challenge Scott City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Neelyville, they will head out on the road to take on Campbell at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
