Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Genoa-Hugo/Karval). They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 63-5 win over the Hanover Hornets. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-1.

Leading Genoa-Hugo/Karval to victory were Rylee Corn and Amy James. Corn went 8 for 9 en route to 16 points, while James posted eight points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave James a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kazlei Vaughn, who earned eight points.

Genoa-Hugo/Karval was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

With the victory, Genoa-Hugo/Karval broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9. As for Hanover, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Genoa-Hugo/Karval wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-29 win against Bethune on the 3rd. As for Hanover, they will challenge Manzanola at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanover is facing Manzanola at the right time seeing as Manzanola is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
