Baseball Game Preview: McNairy Central Bobcats vs. Hardin County Tigers

McNairy Central is 2-8 against Hardin County since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bobcats will host the Tigers at 6:20 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

McNairy Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Biggersville 16-2 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bobcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Hardin County entered their tilt with Adamsville on Friday with 15 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 16. They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over the Cardinals. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Hardin County's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for McNairy Central, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

McNairy Central came up short against Hardin County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 6-2. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
