Baseball Recap: Oswego East's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Oswego East came into Wednesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Joliet West Tigers with a sharp 13-6 win on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wolves have posted against the Tigers since April 11, 2018.

Jacsen Tucker was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Oswego East is 3-1 when Tucker posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Caden Bregar, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Oswego East's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Joliet West, their record now sits at 6-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswego East will venture away from home to face off against Minooka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Joliet West, they will challenge Joliet Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Steelmen at the right time seeing as the Steelmen are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
