Volleyball Recap: Granite Bay Takes a Loss

Granite Bay lost against Oak Ridge on March 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Grizzlies fell 3-1 to the Trojans. Grizzlies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Trojans since on Wednesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 24-26, 25-17, 25-23.

Leading Oak Ridge to victory were Jack Reiser and Jamie Fraser. Reiser had eight digs and two assists, while Fraser had 17 kills, nine digs, and two aces. Fraser has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 21 times he's played.

Granite Bay dropped their record down to 11-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Oak Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-1.

Granite Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Del Mar on the 28th. As for Oak Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Whitney on the 31st.
