Football Recap: Blair Comes Up Short

Blair and Pius X pushed the score to 35-28 the last time they played Pius X, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Bears took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunderbolts. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row dating back to last season.

Brevin Leggott threw for 73 yards on nine of 22 attempts. Hayden Daggett was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards. On the ground, Blaise Baughman rushed for 100 yards and one score.

Blair's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pius X, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Blair will head out to challenge Gretna at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pius X, they will be playing at home against Seward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
