Baseball Game Preview: Thomas Sumter Academy Generals vs. Orangeburg Prep Indians

For the second straight game, Thomas Sumter Academy will face off against Orangeburg Prep. The Generals will venture away from home to challenge the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomas Sumter Academy is looking for their season's first win.

Thomas Sumter Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orangeburg Prep on Tuesday.

For Orangeburg Prep's part, Hunter Judy and Bryson Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Judy struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Williams tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Judy has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Judy scored a run while going 1-for-4, while Williams scored a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Mason Tyler was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Landon Kuck also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Thomas Sumter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Orangeburg Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
