Volleyball Recap: Chamblee Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Trinity Robins and Emma Lane

Chamblee lost against Lakeside back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

Chamblee started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Chamblee's loss came despite strong showings from Emma Lane and Trinity Robins. Lane had eight assists and six digs, while Robins had four digs and two aces.

Erin Lilic was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs and one assist.

Chamblee's loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-18. As for Lakeside, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 26-6.

Chamblee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Decatur on the 9th. As for Lakeside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Woodward Academy on the 9th.
