Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Berchmans Academy

Westminster Christian Academy won the last time they faced Berchmans Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 7-1 victory. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Dreylon Pitre was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Westminster Christian Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

Westminster Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Berchmans Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Avoyelles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Berchmans Academy, they will head out to face off against West St. Mary at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolfpack have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.9 runs per game on average), something the Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of.
