Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sacred Heart, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Seneca Red Hawks on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Valkyries, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sacred Heart was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-14.

Sacred Heart had a senior duo take command as Campbell Miles had ten digs and four aces and Hilary Pehlke had four digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Miles.

Sacred Heart was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Sacred Heart now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Seneca, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1-1.

Coming up, Sacred Heart will take on Mercy at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seneca, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Ballard on the 26th.
