Volleyball Recap: Rancho Verde Mustangs vs. Paloma Valley Wildcats

Rancho Verde was the 1-0 winner over Paloma Valley when they last played one another back in March of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Rancho Verde sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-7.

Paloma Valley was led to victory by Gaebriel Pattawi and Jhomar Yanga. Pattawi had 15 digs and two aces, while Yanga had 12 digs, 11 kills, and six aces. Those six aces gave Yanga a new career-high.

Rancho Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Paloma Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
