Football Recap: Cardinal Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cardinal fell victim to Lynnville-Sully and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Hawks, falling 50-0. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Hawks are ranked 127th).

Cardinal's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lynnville-Sully, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cardinal will venture away from home to take on Van Buren County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lynnville-Sully, they will head out to challenge Martensdale-St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
