Basketball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

If North Central was feeling good fresh off their 55-30 takedown of David Thibodaux last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Central Hurricanes had to suffer through a 76-48 loss at the hands of the Brusly Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Panthers are ranked 33rd).

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Brusly, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will welcome Jennings on Saturday. As for Brusly, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Brusly Panthers duke it out with the Marksville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Brusly will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
