Baseball Game Preview: Benton Central Bison vs. Rensselaer Central Bombers

For the second straight game, Benton Central will face off against Rensselaer Central. The Bison will be playing at home against the Bombers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Benton Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Benton Central barely beat Rensselaer Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bison's pitchers stepped up to hand the Bombers a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.

Benton Central let Nolan Winkler and Maclynn Elliott run wild. Winkler went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Elliott got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those four RBI gave Winkler a new career-high. Lucas Snyder was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Benton Central's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Rensselaer Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
