Recap: Jackson Aggies vs. McIntosh Demons
Make it 13 blowout wins for the Jackson Aggies this season. They put the hurt on McIntosh with a sharp 40-14 win on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but Jackson sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Jackson had a senior duo take command as Tyra Caves scored seven points along with five assists and two steals and Jazmine Jones scored six points along with four steals. Jones has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Erica Walton, who scored four points along with three steals.
Jackson pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29 points. As for McIntosh, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will square off against Citronelle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Citronelle has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28. As for McIntosh, they will head out on the road to square off against Fruitdale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Fruitdale is ranked 356th, while McIntosh is ranked 337th).
